To get hearts from Nina, give her flowers that bloom in Fall. For Muffy, she likes basically anything girly, such as Toy Flowers. Celia likes Mist Moons and crops from your farm. Nina is shy, Muffy isn't much of a hard worker, and Celia is a farm-loving hard worker, who I had my dude marry in Harvest Moon! Nina, Muffy, and Celia's sons all have the same characteristics as their mothers, but you can encourage them to do other things. For farming, show your son a bunch of tools and fodder as a child. For archaeology interest, show him things you dig up at the digsite. You get the idea! To get bucketloads of money without cheating, all you need are a few banana and grape trees and a seedmaker. You can get a free seedmaker from Daryl if you befriend him. He likes milk and fish. First, pick as many grapes and bananas as you can. Bananas are in Summer, Grapes in Fall. A few of each tree are recommended. Then, put the fruit in the seedmaker. When the seeds are ready, sell them to Van. He will give 750 G for banana seeds; a piece!
